Why are we here?

We all have our own priorities in life. Some things matter more to us than others, some not, and some, we just put off. However, no matter what the importance, we priortize our life according to one thing: our purpose in life. So, how can we find out what our true purpose in life is? Why were we created? Where did we come from? Where are we going? What is the driving force behind everything we do, accomplish, dream, and hope for?

We look around and the world is in the midst of chaos...crisis after crisis...how can we, one individual among 7 billion have any sort of purpose at all? Does "destiny" even exist? Or is our entire existence merely to be born, live for a while, and then die? What is our true essence?

These questions burn in us throughout our lives, rearing their head when we least expect, or even more so, during times of uncertainty or when it seems that we have lost all control of our lives.

Many of us feel the current crises unfolding across the globe on a very personal level. However, the intensification of these crises is not nearly as alarming to us today as they were as recent as 30 years ago. We have grown accustomed to the "doom and gloom" which is now the norm. We are trapped in a paradigm of insignificance. What we say does not matter. What we do has no effect. Or does it?

Ignoring these situations because we feel like we cannot make a difference, or because the problem is too big, will only bring us greater suffering. No longer can we continue to look the other way and hope that someone else, someone greater than ourselves, will take on the issues facing humanity.

In fact, we are now in a very unique position. The world is no longer 'individualized', but rather, 'globalized'. What does that mean? It means that everything I do has a domino effect. For every act, there is an equal and opposite reaction! This is evident with the current ecomomic crisis engulfing every nation, every family, every individual. We are all connected. We are interdependent on each other.

An example...

Cells within an organisms body unite and work together for the sake of sustaining the whole body. Each cell within the body receives the required sustenance and spends the rest of its time tending to the rest of the body.

All of nature operates on this principle of Altruism. Without the law of altruism, a body cannot persist...life itself cannot persist. Humanity's happiness, future, and the meaning of life lies within this principle law of nature...altruism. We must first build this into our own existence if we want to change the course of our future. It is no small task, but it is possible. For more information, please visit: http://www.kabbalah.info/

The Reason for this Blog

I thought it would be best to begin by explaining why I have created a blog with such a profound title. The average person, meaning one who is not considered by society to be a renowned Sage of the times, would never consider opening dialogue surrounding such an elusive topic. However, the question, "What is the meaning of my life?" is one that every human being on earth asks him/herself at some point. Does the question not warrant a deeper look or explanation?

It is my hope that this blog will become a stepping stone for you to get the answers you desire.
